This picture of a Juvenile Ornate Hawk Eagle was chosen as the winner of The Peregrine Fund calendar competition and I am very happy that was published on this year calendar.

We spotted the bird in the base of the Tenorio Volcano National Park, it was perched high up in a tree. I quickly set up the tripod and the Canon 7D.
